Housing Planning & Placement Service
• Housing Assessment - PCCI administers a thorough housing assessment instrument with each client that addresses income & budgeting, housing history, physical/mental health, accessibility requirements, transportation needs, background check issues, basic demographics, etc.
• Housing Counseling - Housing assessment information provides the framework to discuss each client’s particular needs, offer suggestions for potential housing options, review geographic locations, suggest available housing settings and initiate a timetable for a housing placement plan.
• Housing Locator Services - With experienced knowledge of a vast array of housing settings, an established landlord portfolio and access to the housing resources registered on the GeorgiaHousingSearch database, we are able to offer each client a variety of available housing settings for consideration.
• Landlord Liaison Services - PCCI utilizes its relationships with landlords to advocate on behalf of clients, negotiate move-in costs, secure admission appointments and respond to landlord concerns.
• Rental Financial Assistance - PCCI maintains limited funds that are applied to assist those clients who qualify, based on need, with move-in costs associated with permanent housing placement such as application fees, first month’s rent, security deposits, etc.
• Utilities Assistance - PCCI maintains limited funds that insure the establishment of basic utilities such as gas, water and electricity by providing financial assistance for utility deposits.
• Follow-up Services - PCCI has a schedule of follow-up services for every individual and family placed by the organization. Clients are contacted to ascertain housing retention and to determine progress in the areas of finances, family reunification, health, education and access of mainstream resources. Staff assist clients in crisis to connect to available support systems and advocates with landlords on the clients’ behalf.
