This workshop provides an overview of the importance of budgeting and saving. Participants will have the opportunity to create personalized budgets, savings plans and will be educated about mainstream banking options.
Participants will learn everything they need to know to begin their housing search. We’ll explore what’s needed to consider before their search, how to prepare to apply and what tools to use. Also discussed is establishing your utilities and methods of pay your utilities.
This workshop will take an in depth look at a lease and highlight the most important parts. Also discussed is how to effectively communicate with your landlord, how to pay your rent and your responsibilities as a tenant. Finally, we talk about how to maintain your housing and what to do when things come up that make it hard for you to pay your rent.
In this workshop participants learn how to construct a resume and how to improve your already existing resume. Participants will leave this workshop with a resume that provides a clear depiction of their knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Participants will gain a better understanding of fresh produce and how easy it is to make a healthy meal. Live cooking demonstrations will be conducted as participants learn different methods of quick and easy food preparation.
